The aims of the Master’s Degree in Animal Production are:
- To contribute to scientific and technical development and updating for recent graduates, bachelor’s degree holders and technical staff in the labour market by providing them with the skills they need to ensure critical thinking for efficient professional performance in the animal production area.
- To provide in-depth scientific and technical training aimed at respecting animal health and welfare, food safety, environmental protection and the quality of products of animal origin (production animals).

Entry Requirements
- a) Holders of a bachelor’s degree or its legal equivalent in the academic area of the study cycle or in a similar academic area.
- b) Holders of a foreign higher education degree granted following a first study cycle organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State that is a signatory to this process in the academic area of this study cycle or in a similar academic area.
- c) Holders of a foreign higher education degree recognised by the IPVC Scientific and Technical Council as meeting the aims of the bachelor’s degree in the academic area of the study cycle or in a similar academic area.
- d) Holders of academic, scientific or professional qualifications that are recognised by the IPVC Scientific and Technical Council as attesting to their ability to take on this study cycle. (Pursuant to Art. 17, DL 74/2006, of 24 March).

- e) Applying preventive measures in animal health.
- f) Developing environmental conditioning and effluent management systems.
- g) Applying processing techniques to products of animal origin.
- h) Recognising marketing as a core component of business activity.
- i) Contributing to the emergence of entrepreneurial initiatives in animal production.
