Research Organization
As a member institution of the National Scientific and Technological System (SCTN), developing Research, Development, and Innovation (R&D+i) activities and providing specialized services to the community that constitute an element of appreciation, sustainability, and institutional and regional cohesion are at the core of IPVC’s mission. Based on a robust network of national and international partners and aligned with the IPVC’s educational offerings, the creation and transfer of knowledge and technology resulting from R&D+i activities are relevant factors in the cultural, social, economic, and business aspects of the region.
IPVC develops R&D+i activities geared primarily toward the economic and social reality of the institution’s respective region while simultaneously maintaining their necessary universal approach. The aim of IPVC is to ensure that each R&D+i activity is useful to the Region as well as relevant to the entire Country, in addition to its potential application in an international context.
Most IPVC teaching staff have ties to internal research units and to research units associated with other higher education institutions.
Aside from the internal research units, the internal support structure for IPVC’s R&D+i through the Project Management Unit (UGP -IPVC) is outstanding.
