Aims

Graduates of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Educational Services and Local Heritage are qualified to engage in activities that promote and safeguard heritage, by applying theoretical knowledge and hands-on, cross-disciplinary experiences in a technically focused manner with a strong educational perspective. They are also expected to independently conduct activities tied to Natural and Cultural Heritage within educational outreach initiatives.

1. To catalogue existing heritage resources in local communities.
2. To apply educational enhancement strategies for heritage resources.
3. To convey diverse insights that enable the appreciation of heritage values.
4. To promote specialised/generalist routes around natural and cultural heritage.
5. To engage in educational projects and initiatives that foster a sustainable perspective and cultivate a sense of belonging among local host communities and visitors.
6. To engage diverse audiences and educational services in a comprehensive and interdisciplinary manner, particularly in protected areas, geoparks, geosites, interpretation centres, museums, house museums and other educational spaces with a strong environmental and cultural focus.
7. To enhance connections and social dynamics among educational, cultural and social agents.
8. To accompany heterogeneous groups with diverse needs and profiles, promoting intergenerational and multicultural sharing among visitors/participants.
9. To create and value artefacts, objects and other technical resources that enable the provision of high-quality educational services.
10. To promote the discovery of the environment and the understanding and appreciation of biological, geological resources, historical and cultural resources.
11. To host events that highlight the value of heritage resources.
