Presentation
The Higher Professional Technical Course in Fruit Production, Viticulture and Enology aims to provide a rigorous and engaging education, guiding both production and processing towards a sustainable and profitable strategy while prioritising human well-being and environmental preservation. The proposed curriculum is built upon the development of technical and scientific knowledge, allowing students to acquire skills in fruit farming, viticulture and oenology technologies. Such training primarily facilitates professional integration, creating conditions for specialised work and also offering the possibility of further studies through accreditation of the knowledge acquired for higher qualification levels.
With this course, we also aim to address the growing needs of the business sector for intermediate level professionals skilled in fruit production, viticulture and oenology. These professionals should be able to meet the demands of a rapidly changing and developing job market.
From the above, it is evident that the fruit farming, vineyard and wine sectors, in the region where the School of Agriculture is located, need to accommodate mid-level professionals. These professionals, skilled in these areas, should be familiar with the most innovative technological processes suited to the ever-increasing challenges in the production of exceptional fruit and wine.
The course places a significant emphasis on technical proficiency and hands-on training in real-world contexts.
Exemption from national exams for entry into higher education and leading to a Higher Professional Technical Diploma.
