Presentation
The Master’s Degree in Civil Environmental Engineering (formerly known as the Master’s Degree in Construction) aims to train professionals skilled in designing and overseeing intricate projects in construction, architectural heritage restoration, and sustainable practices. This program emphasizes the use of cutting-edge construction methods, innovative materials, and environmental technologies to meet the multifaceted needs of modern 21st-century engineering.
The course is structured along three lines: Construction, Structures and Geotechnics and the Environment, which the students choose in the last year of the course.
Like the bachelor’s degree that leads to it, Civil Environmental Engineering, the professionals on this course are also expected to receive wide acceptance in the labour market given the flexibility of their training.

Goals
Aims
- Learning more in order to develop highly complex civil and environmental engineering projects, including building restoration work, with an emphasis on sustainable construction, taking into account the constraints in terms of construction materials, construction technologies, the physics of the constructions, planning and construction management.
- Extending their specific expertise in the areas of metallic and mixed structures and the environment, with a special focus on water treatment, wastewater treatment and solid waste.
- Developing and extending their expertise in construction management aimed at the implementation of contracts or their supervision.
- Learning more about mathematical modelling of characteristic phenomena in civil and environmental engineering.
Professional outcomes
- Senior officers in building and public works companies, such as project directors.
- Civil and environmental engineering planners in project offices and contract supervision.
- Senior officers in local or central public administration bodies.
- Entrepreneurs.
