In a total of three semesters, a year and a half, this course aims to produce Masters in Rehabilitation Nursing for caring for people of all ages with needs in the rehabilitation area. It therefore includes a set of specific skills to respond to the wide range of possibilities in community intervention.
The specific training in this course provides the nurse with skills to work in specific areas, such as respiratory, neurological and orthopaedic, and in other emerging areas, such as continuous care and the occupational health area.
The work of the Master of Rehabilitation Nursing makes it possible for them to talk to the person and assess their needs and potential and thus discovering the best strategies for finding out about their health issues, thereby improving their quality of life and contributing to a reduction in hospitalisation due to chronic illness.
They assure the major areas of rehabilitation where the Master of Rehabilitation Nursing can interact and work with the people, given the challenges they are faced with – the ageing of society, disability due to accidents, chronic illnesses and occupational diseases.
