Learn more about the Master’s programme in Electronics and Automotive Electrification
The Professional Master’s Degree in Automotive Electronics and Electrification arises in the context of the electrical transition of the automotive sector and the challenges faced by several companies in the sector operating in the Alto Minho region.
In this context, the Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo, in close coordination with companies in the automotive sector operating in the region and with CiTin, the only Technology and Innovation Centre located throughout its area of coverage, has put forward the proposal for a professional master’s degree, which aims to meet the needs of companies in the region, not only for the retraining and requalification of their staff, but also to promote the training of new staff who need advanced specialisation in the context of the electrical transition and automotive electrification.
This master’s programme will be developed within the framework of the PRR-BAITS-IPVC (project co-funded by the PRR – Recovery and Resilience Plan by the European Union).

Reasons to attend the course
To accelerate the process of electrical transition in the region’s automotive industry by retraining staff with experience in the sector, as well as specialising new staff.
The Professional Master’s Degree in Electronics and Automotive Electrification aims to provide advanced training for specialists in automotive electricity and electronics, as well as production technologies in the context of automotive electrification, thereby promoting the acceleration of the electrical transition of the automotive industry operating in the region.
This process allows the retraining of staff with experience from the combustion paradigm, as well as the specialisation of new staff in the context of the electric transition. The strategic partners for this advanced training are CiTin – the Technological and Industrial Interface Centre, as well as companies in the region operating in the sector. This training provides advanced technical knowledge in fields related to electric vehicle technologies, automotive electricity and electronics, circuits and data acquisition systems (in-circuit-testing), vehicle communication networks, manufacturing process management, industrial cyber-finance systems, industrial data analysis, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
