Graduates of the CTeSP in Laboratory Analysis and Management will be able to:

• Implement waste management standards, biosafety protocols and technical rules for handling chemical products and biological samples.
• Enforce basic health and safety at work, including biosafety.
• Organise and plan laboratory work.
• Implement protocols related to quality management systems (application of the NP EN ISO 17025 standards – Quality management and assurance in laboratories and NP EN ISO 9000 – Quality management systems)
• Monitor and assess stocks of reagents and consumables.
• Analyse technical and scientific data using information and communication technologies.
• Control and manage the operational maintenance of laboratory equipment, with periodic calibration recording in accordance with quality standards.
• Plan and carry out sampling, collection and transportation of samples to the laboratory, as well as their preservation before physical, chemical and/or biological characterisation.
• Identify and implement the most appropriate processes for environmental quality characterisation and monitoring.
• Handle biological samples according to biosafety conditions.
• Apply the most current techniques in clinical analyses.
• Incorporate their expertise and apply it in real-world scenarios.
• Perform chemical and microbiological analyses using the best available techniques, according to the national and international standards in place.
• Work individually and in teams.
• Organise, analyse and interpret specific data.
• Draw up standard reports with statistical analysis based on the results obtained.
• Plan and carry out self-assessment activities.
• Plan, assess and implement emergency response procedures.
