Presentation
The Bachelor’s Degree Course in Agronomy offers an education grounded in life and earth sciences, focusing on the study of natural resources such as soil, water, air and biodiversity. This is complemented with plant and animal production techniques and technologies, as well as an understanding of the socio-ecological processes that contribute to the sustainability of rural areas. The programme also aims to foster the economic development and revitalisation of the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors while ensuring the environmental quality of the land and agro-ecosystems.
Throughout the various curricular units, the aim is to cultivate diagnostic skills, foster a critical and creative approach to management proposals, project activities and governance systems and to encourage teamwork in multidisciplinary settings. At the same time, emphasis is placed on research capabilities, technical and scientific communication, knowledge management and innovation to support both social and entrepreneurial ventures.
This degree, with its applied and professional orientation, equips students with professional skills and knowledge, paving the way for further specialisation in subsequent courses of study.
