Candidates for the Master’s Degree in Nature Sports are:

1. Holders of a bachelor’s degree or legal equivalent, in the academic area of Sports Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism, or in related scientific areas;
2. Holders of a foreign higher academic degree, awarded following a 1st cycle of studies organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna process by a State adhering to this process, in the academic area of Sports Sciences, Physical Education, Tourism or related areas;
3. Holders of a foreign higher academic degree that is recognised as satisfying the objectives of a bachelor’s degree by the IPVC’s technical-scientific council, in the academic area of the study cycle in question or in scientific areas linked to the phenomenon of nature sport;
4. Holders of an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognised as attesting to their ability to complete the cycle of studies by the IPVC’s technical-scientific council.

Teaching and learning methodologies

The course will take the form of distance learning and face-to-face teaching (b-learning), with the face-to-face format taking place in concentrated periods.

Classes will be held at the facilities of the Melgaço School of Sport and Leisure of the Polytechnic of Viana do Castelo (ESDL-IPVC) with field trips planned throughout Europe (depending on weather conditions and organisational factors, trips are planned to Spain, France, Italy and Austria).

The programme is accredited without conditions by A3ES (www.a3es.pt).

During the month of May 2025 | Concentrated format, every day of the week with outings including weekends.
