(Português) Transportes
The BIRA IPVC is IPVC’s project under the U-Bike Portugal initiative, aimed at promoting sustainable mobility with a focus on cycling.
IPVC provides the academic community with 200 bicycles, of which 160 are electric and 40 are conventional.
Applications are made through the SASocial platform, and the bicycles are distributed according to the regulations set by IPVC, in compliance with the general regulations of the U-Bike Portugal project.
This affordable transport service, open to all members of the IPVC academic community, offers a convenient way to commute to and from the IPVC campuses.
To use this service, you must fill out the registration form available on the SASocial platform.
Monthly fee
During the months when the Christmas and Easter holiday breaks occur, the service will be suspended. Therefore, only half of the monthly fee will be charged.
Daily ticket (no need to register)
If you are 23 years old or younger and if the Academic Bus does not serve your locality, you can benefit from discounts on the monthly cost of intermodal, combined and line or network passes. The discounts are 25% for all enrolled and registered students; if you are a scholarship student, the discount is 60%.
How to apply
You can request the Sub23 pass declaration on the SASocial platform and submit it to the transport company to get your Sub23 Pass card issued.
Renewal
At the start of each academic year, or if your status changes from non-scholarship to scholarship student, you need to submit an updated and validated declaration to the transport company in order to maintain your monthly pass discount.
