Application deadlines:

• 25 June to 30 September
• 20 business days after the date of enrolment/registration, if this occurs after 30 September.
• 20 business days following the issue of proof that the internship has started by the promoting entity in the case of graduates or masters who are undertaking a professional internship.
  The application can also be submitted between 1 October and 31 May. In this case, the amount of the scholarship awarded is proportional to the value calculated for one year, considering the period from the month following the submission of the request to the end of the academic year or the internship.

• Submit the application

Students who do not have login credentials for the DGES platform must complete the ‘Request for Login Credentials to the DGES Portal’ form on the SASocial platform.

Main changes to the Regulation concerning the award of scholarships to higher education students – Order No. 7647/2023, of 24 July

• Extension of the eligibility threshold from €9,484.27 annual per capita income to €11,049.89 (equivalent to 23 IAS). This extends eligibility to all recipients of children’s allowance up to and including the third income bracket.
• Establishing a higher eligibility threshold for working students and for students who have earned income, particularly during holiday periods. This corresponds to the general threshold plus €1,520 (2 RMMG).
• Expedited processing of automatic scholarship awards for applications from children’s allowance recipients up to the third income bracket and who have competed in the CNA for the placement phase (provided the student enrols and registers at a higher education institution).
• Increasing the minimum scholarship amount for students enrolled in master’s degrees, ensuring that the minimum scholarship amount is identical for both the first cycle and the second cycle (125% of the tuition fee actually paid).
• Making the increase in accommodation supplements, approved as an extraordinary measure in 2022/2023, a permanent measure.
• Extension of support to students under temporary protection from the military conflict in Ukraine, maintaining maximum scholarship awards and additional benefits. This social support is also extended, under similar conditions, to students from Syria in humanitarian emergency situations and to Afghan refugees, enabling them to continue their higher education in Portugal, which they are unable to pursue in their home countries.

The social assistance grant is a support measure promoted by the Welfare Services, designed to complement other social supports that have been provided directly or indirectly.

To benefit from this assistance, students can apply through the SASocial platform.

Estudantes internacionais

• Uma bolsa de instalação com duração de três meses para ajudar os alunos a cobrir despesas relacionadas com alojamento e alimentação.

• O processo de candidatura é realizado através do formulário disponível na secção ‘Documentos’ após a inscrição.

Estágios Curriculares

• Apoio a estudantes com recursos financeiros limitados que não tenham recebido bolsa da DGES.
• Estudantes que realizem estágio fora da localização da Instituição de Ensino Superior e a mais de 10 km da sua residência fiscal ou residência habitual durante o período letivo.

Melhor PAP na área das TIC

O Politécnico de Viana do Castelo, no âmbito do “Impulso Jovem STEAM”, programa que financiada o projeto PRR-BAITS-IPVC, instituiu em 2023 o “Prémio Melhor PAP na área das TIC”, por forma a distinguir a melhor Prova de Aptidão Profissional (PAP), realizada por um estudante de um curso profissional, no domínio das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação (TIC), no ano letivo 2023/2024.

Este prémio tem os seguintes objetivos:

• Reconhecer a excelência dos resultados escolares dos estudantes dos Cursos Profissionais nas áreas das TIC;
• Valorizar a oferta de ensino superior nas TIC;
• Aproximar o IPVC ao ensino profissional e incentivar o ingresso no ensino superior, contribuindo para o incremento da qualificação dos estudantes do ensino profissional.

Destinatários:

O prémio destina-se a todos os estudantes, que concluíram o ano letivo 2023/2024 e que frequentem pela primeira vez (primeiro ano/primeira vez) um Curso Técnico Superior Profissional (CTeSP) ou licenciatura nas áreas das TIC no Politécnico de Viana do Castelo.

Bolsas de Incentivo Sub-representação de Género

O Politécnico de Viana do Castelo, no âmbito do PRR-BAITS, criou as Bolsas de Incentivo Sub-representação de Género, que pretendem promover a igualdade de género nas escolas vocacionais. Estas bolsas destinam-se que ingressem pela primeira vez, primeiro ano num CTeSP ou curso de licenciatura, com idade inferior a 35 anos.

Este apoio destina-se a estudantes do IPVC matriculados em Cursos Técnicos Superiores Profissionais (CTeSP) ou licenciaturas, que frequentem o 1.º ou 2.º ano dos respetivos cursos.
O programa tem como objetivo o apoio para aquisição de material pedagógico inerente à frequência do curso, sendo financiado pelo IPVC, através do Projeto Com.Sigo+.

According to the regulations for higher education scholarships, the SAS-IPVC can grant emergency aid for extraordinary circumstances to help students cope with particularly severe economic situations that may occur during the academic year.

Students with 60% disability or higher can apply for a scholarship equivalent to the amount of tuition fees actually paid. To request this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

• Be enrolled and registered at a higher education institution.
• Provide proof of disability with a multipurpose medical disability certificate.
• Ensure their tax and social security affairs are in order.

The application process is carried out using an online form, after accreditation.

In addition to financial support provided by the State and IPVC, there are other financing options available to students, including:

• Regional grants
• Transport passes for under 23s
• + Superior programme
