Presentation
The Master’s Degree in Management taught under the ambit of the Association of Polytechnics in Northern Portugal (APNOR), made up of four polytechnics in the North Region (Bragança, Cávado e Ave, Porto and Viana do Castelo), offers basic management training as well as professional specialisation, following the guidelines for this type of training in polytechnics, in accordance with the profile and needs (personal and/or professional) of the potential students in three different areas: Public Management (GP); Healthcare Unit Management (GUS) and Business Management (GE).
Some information on the operation of the APNOR Master’s Degrees
- The first semester is normally taught at each one of the APNOR Higher Education Institutions, except if one of them does not have enough students, in which case they may be invited to go to a different institution.
- The second semester is organised in staggered modules. The teaching staff for each module travel to the different polytechnics. There may also be joint sessions for all the students from the different polytechnics in a single place, to be designated, when there is participation by senior specialists, particularly from abroad.
- The third semester is for thesis development.
- The classes will preferably be taught in “blocks” towards the weekend.
