Presentation
In Europe, palliative care is considered to be one of the main pillars of healthcare and the training is consensually recognised as an essential and decisive element in the provision of palliative care. Given the shortage of nurses with specific training in this area and the lack of training programmes, this course is extremely important for the region and for the country.
The benchmark training already developed by the ESS in this area led to a proposal from the Ministry of Health to establish a cooperation agreement in the area of training and specific research.
