Access conditions
- Holders of a bachelor’s degree or its legal equivalent.
- Holders of a foreign higher education degree granted following a first study cycle organised in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process by a State that is a signatory to this process.
- Holders of a foreign higher education degree that is recognised as meeting the aims of the undergraduate degree by the scientific body officially authorised by the higher education establishment to which they wish to be admitted.
- Holders of academic, scientific or professional qualifications that are recognised as attesting to their ability to take on this study cycle by the scientific body officially authorised by the higher education establishment to which they wish to be admitted. (in Art. 17, DL 74/2006, of 24 March).

Aims
- To produce social gerontologists who are technically and scientifically competent, humanly sensitive and responsive.
- To produce specialised professionals with knowledge, skills and competences in the field of Social Gerontology, in order to contribute to the people’s quality of life and well-being.
- To contribute to the advancement of scientific knowledge in Social Gerontology, with a view to promoting policies and practices geared towards active and successful ageing.
- To contribute to solidarity between generations by activating social mechanisms that are compatible with longevity and human dignity.
Graduate profile
This course is aimed at holders of bachelor’s degrees (or legally equivalent qualifications) in Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences and Health Sciences, who wish to learn more about this area of knowledge and/or in their field of professional activity.
