Início / Art and Digital Fabrication
Presentation
This course is based on a comprehensive and innovative approach that is a blend of both traditional artistic experimentation and techniques and modern digital creation and production methods.
Many traditional artistic creation technologies (such as screen printing, engraving, sculpture, ceramics, etc.) can incorporate digital arts and computational production processes into their methods. This connection can be established both at the level of creation and design (generative art, parametric variation, digital creativity), as well as in terms of its materialisation (CNC, laser cutters, 3D printing, electronics, etc.). In other words, there is vast untapped potential for innovation lying at the intersection of these domains.
Moreover, this integration can also be attractive to businesses, as creativity and digital production processes play a central role in many areas today.
The growing needs of the socioeconomic fabric for mid-level professionals who can take on roles proactively, in line with the challenges of a rapidly changing job market and keeping pace with scientific and technological development, require a strategic policy at the level of educational offerings at IPVC that is tailored to these new demands.
The Higher Professional Technical Course in Art and digital Fabrication aims to equip students with the skills, capabilities and mindset needed to navigate a competitive work environment by enhancing their expertise in fields of both scientific and artistic fields, focusing on the specific technologies of this area of study.
