The main aim of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Farm Management is to train agricultural entrepreneurs who work with livestock and/or in plant production. They will develop a range of skills including planning strategies for maximising production sustainability, organising and managing operations, working with agricultural machinery and equipment, managing associated agribusinesses and labour management. Consequently, agricultural entrepreneurs will have technical and practical skills and capabilities that enable them not only to make sound business decisions but also to monitor and comply with industry regulations, as well as to meet all regulatory environmental, food safety and production quality standards.
This course contributes to the technical and professional training that leads to a new generation of modern, innovative, competitive, and successful agricultural entrepreneurs. They are expected to respond positively to this highly important political, economic, and social objective, which is reviving the agricultural sector in Portugal.
